The standout element of the SE2 model is its versatile electronics layout, which goes beyond standard dual-humbucker wiring:
• Pickups: Dual direct-mounted Washburn Humbuckers. Direct-mounting into the wood cavity increases vibrational transfer, resulting in tighter definition, more aggressive attack, and clarity that cuts through mixes.
• Controls: 1 Master Volume and 1 Master Tone knob, alongside a 3-way or 5-way selector switch depending on factory distribution.
• Coil-Splitting: The tone knob features a push-pull coil switch, allowing you to split the humbuckers into single-coils for bright, snappy, single-coil strat-style tones.
Direct-to-Jack Blower Switch: A specialized mini-toggle switch acts as a blower. Flicking it completely bypasses the current volume and tone settings, routing the bridge pickup directly to the output jack.
