Cort Action Bass Junior Open Pore Black - short scale bass

The 30”-scale 4-string bass is downsized enough to be comfortable to play while still providing a good focused tone that will work in virtually any playing context. The simple volume and tone electronics layout with a soapbar pickup in the bridge position allows the player to focus on playing the music instead of being distracted by too many sound choices. While not common, the 30” short scale basses have been popular with even pro-level bass players since the 60’s due to their ease of playability as well as improved portability.

The instrument features a lightweight build and a scaled-down size, making it an ideal choice for beginners, younger players, or adults who prefer a smaller body:

• Scale Length: Compact 30-inch short scale for ease of playability and high portability.

• Body: Poplar body with an Open Pore Black (OPB) matte finish that leaves the natural wood grain visible.

• Neck & Fingerboard: Canadian hard maple neck paired with a stable 22-fret jatoba fingerboard.

• Electronics: A singular passive Powersound PDX-5 / PSDXH1-4 soapbar bridge pickup configured with streamlined master volume and tone controls.

• Hardware: Chrome-finished EB6 fixed bridge accompanied by reliable die-cast machine heads.
