Upgrading from the T386 with a bound headstock and neck and parallelogram inlays, the T486 has a laminate flame maple top back and sides, solid centre block and a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups (Jazz in the neck and ’59 in the bridge). Giving phenomenal value for money and covering a wide range of tones the T486 can do everything you want and more. Hand-built as always with Eastman, the Tru Tone finish adds class and allows the wood to breathe and resonate more than the polyester finishes that you find on similar priced instruments from other brands. Eastman are once again proving that its not the name on the headstock but what’s under the hood that matters.
