The PRS SE Mikael Akerfeldt has been co-designed by PRS and Lars Mikael Akerfeldt lead vocalist/lead guitarist and songwriter of progressive death metal band Opeth, as well as the lead vocalist of death metal band Bloodbath.

The PRS SE Mikael Akerfeldt has a singlecut mahogany body with maple top and flame maple veneer. Also maple neck with ebony fretboard and flame maple headstock veneer.
