Fender Classic Player guitars result from the collaboration between Fender's world renown Master Builders, and the Fender's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, offering Custom Shop features at a modest price.
Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler, the Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster electric guitar features an alder body and a maple C-shape neck with flatter 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets for easy bending. '69 Strat pickups provide the brilliant voicing made famous by the guitar heroes of the era. Custom two-point vintage bridge, never before offered outside the Custom Shop, plus aged knobs and switch tip for a mellow retro look. "Custom Shop Designed" neckplate.
The original Stratocaster had three single coil pickups, but the Fender Classic Player '60s Strat mounts 3 Custom '69 single-soil pickups, outputing all those classic, glossy Strat tones with a simple flick of the five-position blade switch. The Classic Player '60s Strat also incorporates a unique wiring scheme, with the Number Four Position enabling a neck and bridge pickup configuration.
