New for 2005, the FG series features include solid Spruce tops, die-cast Chrome hardware and a unique, non-scalloped X-bracing. An inverted L-block, originally used on the more expensive Yamaha LL6, creates a tighter connection between the body and the neck, and so provides a deeper, fuller low end.

The Yamaha FG700MS has a matt gloss natural finish, while the Yamaha FG700S has a high gloss finished top, back, and sides. Many consider the thinner matt finish of the FG700MS to project a more open natural tone than a heavy, high gloss finish of the FG700S.

This guitar is Yamaha ex demonstration stock, the guitar has a few superficial surface marks, and the case is a little tatty, but the discount more than makes up for this!!
