The Yamaha FG 720 S has a solid sitka spruce top for volume, projection and tonal balance, with nato back and sides. New pearloid headstock logo and motif, small position markers. Non-scalloped bracing for a clear, open sound, and tight waisted for a well-defined midrange and strong low-end response. Also new for the Yamaha FG's in 2005 is an inverted L-block, similar to that used on the Yamaha LL6 acoustic, which creates a tighter neck-body connection for a deeper low end.

Compared to a typical dreadnought, the Yamaha FG Series "Jumbo" bodies are slightly thinner in width. Besides making them easier to hold and play, their smaller body mass offers faster response and a brighter tone.

The Yamaha F310 dreadnought acoustic guitar offers outstanding quality at a truly budget price. The lively sound from the spruce/meranti body has a bright, sweet resonance not unlike Yamaha’s renowned FG series acoustics, and real rosewood is used for the fingerboard and bridge. The handling comfort of the slightly reduced body depth and intermediate scale length will be particularly appreciated by younger players.

The unique Yamaha Dreadnought style body provides a loud acoustic tone, but is comfortable to play.

The Yamaha FG 700 MS acoustic guitar is new for 2005 with Nato back and sides, new pearloid headstock logo, smaller position markers, tortoise pickguard and new bridge design.

New for 2005, the FG series features include solid Spruce tops, die-cast Chrome hardware and a unique, non-scalloped X-bracing. An inverted L-block, originally used on the more expensive Yamaha LL6, creates a tighter connection between the body and the neck, and so provides a deeper, fuller low end.

The Yamaha FG700MS has a matt gloss natural finish, while the Yamaha FG700S has a high gloss finished top, back, and sides. Many consider the thinner matt finish of the FG700MS to project a more open natural tone than a heavy, high gloss finish of the FG700S.

The Yamaha FG720S-12 is the 12-string version of the FG720S. It's an affordable solid top acoustic guitar and features deluxe die-cast tuners, a solid sitka spruce top, and a rosewood fingerboard.

This FG720S-12  acoustic guitar is built for the guitarist who has been playing awhile and wants to move up from a beginning instrument. The tone and playability is suitable for most players.

Unlike other manufacturers, Yamaha makes most of their own acoustic guitars. When you buy a Yamaha guitar, it's really a Yamaha. Why is that important? Well, for a number of reasons. They control the quality of the materials and the manufacturing process. In other words, they are not at the mercy of another company’s willingness to make a quality product. Another very important reason is price. Since we buy Yamaha guitars directly from Yamaha, you pay less for a quality product; i.e. there is no distributor involved to pay an additional commission.

Yamaha's combination of quality components and craftsmanship make the FG720S-12 an instrument that produces great tone and playability at an affordable price.

All L-series guitars benefit from a new non-scalloped bracing design that delivers tone that is thick and well focused. The bridges on all new L-Series guitars offer more overall mass than their predecessors to deliver greater tone from these instruments. Their designs feature smooth lines and edges to keep the playing surface unencumbered. The Venetian cutaways offer access to the upper frets while adding beauty to these fine instruments.

The Yamaha LS6 is based on a smaller folk size guitar. It has slimmer shoulders and a more pronounced waist. It produces a sweet rounded tone perfectly suited to fingerstyle playing and recording.
