New for 2006, an updated version of the Ibanez SA260FM, with a flamed maple top on a mahogany body, HSS pickup configuration with 5-way switching and Ibanez's SAT30S bridge trem system which offers wide pitch spacing for better response. Only the front section of the 2pc saddle raises, the back section remains locked, for more stable intonation. The Pop-in trem arm is swing tension adjustable.

The Ibanez SA260FM feature Ibanez's True-Duc coil-tap system: pull up for true single coil tone, push down for full humbucker tone.

The Ibanez SAS36FM features a 3-piece set-in neck, the signature Ibanez SA curved-top and flat-backed mahogany body, with the addition of a flamed maple top for augmented highs and appearance.
The SAS36FM introduces a True-Duo™ humbucker in the bridge position. The True-Duo looks like a typical double-coil, but actually, it's a triple-coil featuring stacked pickup construction. In full humbucker mode, the combination of Alnico & Ferrite magnets provides rich humbucking tone with enhanced mids and highs. In true single coil mode the True Duo’s Alnico #5 pole pieces penetrate both stack coils, which are connected in series for well balanced, genuine single coil tone. Other details include chrome hardware, and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium frets.

The AR200 has the original thicker body shape of the '70s Artist models, to get the original fat mahogany tone that first put the artist on the map. The Ibanez Artist was one of Ibanez's first original designs in the middle '70s when much of Ibanez's business was in making copies of other instruments. The guitar was originally conceived as a more affordable, more comfortably countoured double-cutaway alternative to Gibson's Les Paul*.

Its solid mahogany provides the Ibanez DT200 with rich warm lows and sweet sustain. The long-grained rosewood fingerboard offers a strong, bright sound and attractive appearance. The Ibanez DT200 Destroyer's radical body shape has the right look for the most extreme music, while a stopbar bridge set-up and a pair of Powersound humbuckers puts it across with conviction.
